Baia Sardinia is in the Arzachena gulf, about 30 kilometres far from Olbia in Costa Smeralda (Emerald coast). This village grew with the development of the Emerald Coast, and it is pratically composed of hotels, residences, villas, bars and restaurants, all gathered around a small square nearby the beach.
Not far from the village there are beautiful places, like Capo Ferro peninsula, and, in front of it, the nice islands of "Cappuccini" and "Delle Biscie"; there you can easily reach wonderful viewpoints, too. The surroundings are very rich in beautiful creeks and cristal clear waters and encircled by granitic rocks, like "Poltu Quatu", "Cala Bitta", "Lu Nibarru" and "La Pitrizza".
Baja Sardinia is laid out in fan formation in a wide bay, along a beach with the finest sand and crystal clear waters, facing the archipelago of la Maddalena, about 4 kilometres to the west of Porto Cervo. Baja Sardinia was built a few years after the tourist boom on the Costa Smeralda, promoted by a group of Italian businessmen. In the village, which is also equipped with high quality services, there is a greatest concentration of 4 and 3 star hotels in the area. The most popular sport in the area is windsurfing, thanks also to a favourable combination of currents and winds with allow enthusiasts to practise in the most suitable conditions.
