Simbad is new brand and comfortable catamaran, perfect to sail the Mediterranean sea. This Lavezzi 40 is very reassuring to sail. Her performance is very good, clocking up 24-hour daily averages of 175-180 miles. Downwind, she easily reaches surfing speeds of 13 to 15 knots. Moreover, the Lavezzi 40 is very well thought out. The technical solution adopted for crossing over from port to starboard and vice versa, obstacle-free, is very ingenious indeed. The cockpit layout is well designed. The window and service hatch to the left of the saloon entrance door make the whole space more convivial. The saloon is light and spacious, the glass door makes the saloon bigger and easy to air. The centrally-accessed cockpit features a rest area close to the helm station as well as a dinning area, with comfortable seating for 8 people. A large sliding door and window offers an easy access between the saloon and cockpit and , a remarkable ventilation and easy use of the galley whether you wish to eat inside or outside.

The richness of the Corsican landscape makes every attempt to describe very difficult, because there are so many various splendours which come close together or become intermingled between marine blue sky and heavenly horizon ; such as the lofty peaks, valleys worthy of a legend, wild or harmonious gulfs, sheltered inlets, placid or wild beaches, cliffs sculpted by men and spindrift, hillsides cut out for vines and the olive tree.
